Danelectro DJ1 Pastrami Overdrive Pedal

Well-seasoned overdrive with great sustain. Delicious tone!

Feature:
One of the bad things about this pedal is non-versatility. Distortion on, distortion off. There are two switches on the thing but it is still basically heavy distortion or nothing.

Quality:
Here's where the $20.00 pedal differs from the $200.00 one: quality. It needs to be treated pretty carefully to get a long life. (no jumping up and down on the flimsy plastic pedal) When used normally, it should last a long time. (but come on- show me a guitar player thats normal!!!)

Value:
value is "Amazing" for the sound, "Average" for the physical quality.

Desirability:
Personally, I like the retro look. I'm cool w/ that. I don't play blues or oldies or any of that crap- i play punk rock mostly but i still like the retro.

Sound:
The sound of this thing is amazing. It totally blew me away- a sound comparable to a $200.00 effects pedal wrapped up in a $20.00 effects pedal. The sustain was incredible.

Ease of Use:
Pretty simple: my mom could use this thing.

Support:
Never contacted the Danelectro company. I'll just assume the best. :-)

Overall:
Overall its "pretty good". Did i mention the sound of the thing?
